Jason’s directorial debut film Lenexa 1 mile was renamed Full Count for it’s DVD release.Written by Jason Wiles and Shem Bitterman.
For Wiles it was a homage to growing up in Lenexa, Kansas in the late 80's and it tells the story (also set in the late 80’s) of five childhood friends,as close as brothers, during their last summer together in Lenexa before heading off to college. These lifelong friends will grow even closer together after their bond is tested when a disturbing secret comes to light and they are forced to set out on a quest to protect and redeem the reputation of one of their own - at whatever cost to their futures. Against the backdrop of a fateful softball game, old scores will be settled and boys will learn what it means to be men.
Wiles, convinced his Third Watch crew ( the series had just finished its final season ) to leave New York and come to his hometown to film a story he'd been wanting to tell for some time.
